Our Church Newsletter
JUNE 2010
Volume I - Number I

Dear Folks - If you haven't been to your church lately, you've been missing something special. But if you have been here you know that great things are going on.

People are being saved, literally from the clutches of hell and death. Many baptisms are occurring, some nearly every week. Programs are continually spreading God's Word. Sunday school is something else! Our doors are open Wednesday night, Friday Night, Saturday night, Sunday morning and evening. Plus our Family Life Center is open to the Youth with various activities scheduled. We have one home Bible study a week, and are making plans to start another. We have a once a month Mens' Breakfast, WMU, Ladies Night Meetings, in a word, something for everyone. We have baptisms in the creek and in our baptistry.

In the year Bro. Larry and Sis. Terry have been with us 38 people have given themselves to Christ and all but 4 have followed the Lord in Baptism. There have been close to 40 join the church by letter or statement and out of all these newly saved and baptized, at least 90% are "stayers." These numbers don't include those still waiting to be baptized, or have yet to received their membership transfer from their previous church. That number would add another 10 to our flock. Precious statistics.

This past month special events have included Bro. Larry preaching several sermons at CrossRoads Baptist Church with many from our church in attendance both Monday and Tuesday nights.

AWANA ended with the end of the school year, and "Parent's Night," was a good time for all.

"Wacky Wednesdays," have started for the same age groups. For our first night, we had indoor singing and an outdoor hot dog roast, with s'mores for dessert.

Bro. Jim Rogers is continuing to teach a Bible Study Class on Sunday Night at 5PM.

Wednesday nights always includes the regular mid-week service; Choir Practice; and "Wacky Wednesdays."

Each Friday evening Bible Study is rotated at different members homes and we share food and fellowship starting at 6PM.

Our monthly Pot Luck dinner and business meeting is the second Sunday of each month.

Then too, Vacation Bible School is looming on the horizon.

We also have a very active Prayer Chain, with many vigilant prayer warriors participating.

And a food pantry and clothing closet is constantly being repopulated.

In addition to our regular business meeting this month, we will be presenting a slate of nominations for next year's appointed and elected offices.

It certainly is not too late for you to step forward, and make a commitment to YOUR local church for the coming year. If you are not already doing something for your church, now would be a good time to start. You have been given at least one, special gift of service by the Holy Spirit. Isn't it time you put it to a good work for the Lord?

Our Local Church is a vital, living, instrument to the ONE true, living God of the Universe.

Our God IS/WAS/AND SHALL EVERMORE BE God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

See you in church!
