July 2011
Volume II - Number IV

Six people from our church left here on July 6th, on a mission trip to Puebla, Mexico: Bro. Larry and Sis. Terry, Larry and Ava Haggard, and Jim and Janelle Rogers. They went by car to Tulsa, then by airplane to just outside of Puebla, and the last leg of their trip could have been by oxcart for all we know! Many prayers went with them as they will witness, for the Lord and conduct a vacation bible school for the children of Eva Gutierrezࣨurch.

We have added another deacon in training to our staff of deacons. He is Charlie (Brown) Thacker from Noel, MO. Be in prayer for him and his family as he completes his internship for the Lord.

June was busy with our normal schedule of events, in addition to an 줥 Fashion Sunday,稩ch saw old fashion singing and preaching as well as a chance to dress up like in the old days.

The youth attended church camp, the teens a weekend retreat, and both at Baptist Hill, and they both participated in a youth rally.

Vacation Bible School is set for next week: July 25th ⹴h from 6:15 - 8:30 each evening. Children 4 years to 6th grade accepted for classes.

Bob Cole installed the metal rails in front of the church, so a thank you goes out to him.

Arnold Landers has directed and completed the asphalt part of our parking lot across the street, as well as seeing that both our lots are now fenced. All of these improvements make a difference in our church and are signs of growth and commitment, but we need every members help, with both their TIME tithes, tithes, and love offerings.

We have had several new members added to our church choir. You are urged to come and join us in making great music for the Lord. One Wednesday practice a week is all we ask of our members.

Men²eakfast and WMU (Womenͩssionary Union) meet every month. Both sponsor various church activities and they are always looking for fresh, new faces.

Our Church Prayer Chain has been working on over-drive as of late. True, it does take a bit of your time, but it is time very well spent. Just ask the benefactors of such corporate prayer how they feel about it. And, if you wish to be added, please see Pat Anders.

Looking forward:

Jesse James Days (August 24-27) are upon us once again. Tonya and David Groves will be the overseers of our contributions to the festivities. As always, they will require much help and assistance. Thanks to Gladys Woodfill and Mary Lynn Cunningham for securing for us our favorite spot on the square. Our church booth will be there from Wednesday through Saturday, so please sign up to help pass out water and bible tracts. This has been our most important out-reach to our community for many years now. For additional information on JJD see the Pineville, MO website at:

Church wide picnic: August 13th. More later, but itயt too early to sign up for refreshments!

AWANA ᰰroved Workmen Are Not Ashamed.ĥbbie Wishon will be our director, and will be calling on all for help to make this another successful year. See Debbie or Donna to volunteer your talents in service to our kids and our Lord.

The Library always has a need of tenderly used Christian related books, and Sam Storyӵnday school class has need of a filing cabinet. See Pat Anders or Bro. Sam if you can help with either project.

Know of someone in our community who needs food or clothing? Please let our pastor know. Our congregation has been most generous when it comes to this kind of giving and its support of our food/clothing pantries.

If you aren࣯ming on Wednesday or Friday or Sunday nights Bible study you can૮ow what you are missing out on. Sometimes the pastor saves some of his best tidbits for this time. Come and see if you donࡧree.
